Wetaskiwin

Taoist Tai Chi Society® internal art of taijiquan classes have been taught in Wetaskiwin since 1992 when a dedicated member moved here from Ontario. The club has enjoyed a close relationship with the Edmonton branch.

Classes

We offer a beginner class twice a year and have a year round continuing level class. The class schedule below has the detailed information. If you are new to the Society, please visit the classes Web page for more information about the class types and what to expect. The fees page lists the costs and membership types.

Class Location

Kinsmen Hall (PDF Map ), 222 Northmount Drive

Driving Directions: The Kin Hall is located on the north/northeast boundary of Wetaskiwin. To get to the Kin Hall, turn south off Highway 13 East (Hwy 13 East is the north boundary of Wetaskiwin) at secondary highway 814/47 Street. Travel one block south on 47 St. to the Northmount Drive intersection. Turn east on Northmount Drive. Proceed 3 blocks east on Northmount Drive to the Kin Hall which is a large gray building at the east end of Northmount Drive.

Class Schedules

Beginner Classes

Please contact us about the times and days of the new beginner classes starting each January and September.

Continuing Class

Monday and Wednesday, 7–9 pm

Local members practice a move called brush knee.

  • Regina: Health Recovery Week May 3–8, 2009
    An opportunity to improve your health through a program of focused and intensive practice of taijiquan in a supportive and calm environment and to gain an understanding of taijiquan in a Health Recovery setting. Non-members welcome. Pre-registration required.
